Okay now coming to today's blog as the title says, let's learn about 'Blessed Descendants'

As we all learnt from my previous blogs, about how God created Adam and Eve for himself. God blessed them to be fruitful and increase in number. (Genesis 1:28)

In the cool of the day God used to spend with them. (Genesis 3:8)

But after they sinned they were sent out of God's presence. There are 10 generations between Adam and Noah. During the period of Noah, this world was filled with sin. God regretted creating human beings.

Genesis 6:6

The Lord regretted that He had made human beings on the earth, and His heart was deeply troubled.

But Noah found favour in the eyes of the Lord. (Genesis 6:8)

God told Noah to build an ark and allowed Noah and his family and a pair from every living creature God made. (Genesis 7:21-23)

After the flood God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them,

Genesis 9:1

"Be fruitful and increased in number and fill the earth." and made a covenant with a sign which is a rainbow. (Genesis 9:12-17)

Noah blessed his 3 sons were Shem, Ham and Japheth (Genesis 9:18)

Blessing of Shem:-

Genesis 9:26

Praise be to the Lord the God of Shem!

May Canaan be the slave of Shem.

Blessing of Japheth:-

Genesis 9:27

May God extend Japheth's territory;

May Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.

And for Canaan (if you are wondering who is this Canaan - He is the son of Ham)

Noah tells, Canaan:-

Genesis 9:25

Cursed be Canaan!

The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers.

Abraham is the 10th generation from Shem.

Abraham is the one who spent with God in His presence.

Genesis 18:1

The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day.

Look at the bond they both share (God + Abraham)

God appeared to Abraham when he was sitting at the entrance of his tent, God blessed Abraham for his hospitality. And God shared what He was about to do with Abraham without hiding.

Let's have a sneak-peek into Abraham in this context:-

  • Abraham was worried that he doesn't have children
  • He was sitting during the heat of the day (Heat means trouble, uncomfortable, sadness)
  • During that sad time, he was sitting near the entrance of his tent (tent represents God's presence)
  • This place is where Abraham has built an altar (Genesis 12:6-7)
So technically Abraham was sitting near this altar.

So God appeared to him and spoke with him.

God blessed him and What is that blessing?

Abraham was childless but God promised that He will give Issac which means 'Laughter' through Sarah.

Such an amazing blessing as

Genesis 18:14 says,

"Is anything too hard for the Lord?"

Absolutely true there is nothing impossible to GOd. Everything is possible to God.

When we sit with God in His presence He will share and reveal everything that He is gonna do without hiding from us.

To learn about God and to receive His blessings even we have to spend in God's presence just like how Abraham did.

As Psalm 91:10 says,

No disaster will come near your tent.

Such a great promise God is telling you today my dear Amigo, that if you trust Him and put Your faith in Him, no disaster will come near you.

May we all receive such blessing through our Lord Jesus Christ. AMEN!

MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
