So as the title says, let's learn 'GOD WHO SEES'
Let's check the scripture from
Genesis 16:13
She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: "You are the God who sees me," for she said, "I have now seen the One who sees me."
'YOU ARE THE GOD WHO SEES ME"
Who is telling these words?
Why did they tell?
Where did they say?
Hagar told these words
But who is this Hagar?
Genesis 16:1
She had an Egyptian slave named Hagar;
The meaning of Hagar is "Forsaken"
So Hagar is the servant of Abraham's wife Sarah
Hagar fled away from Sarah
(Genesis 16:6)
She called unto the name of the Lord as,
Psalm 4:3 says,
Lord hears when I call to him
God heard and answered her
Genesis 16:11
The angel of the Lord also said to her: "You are now pregnant and you will give birth to a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the Lord, has heard of your misery.
She is near a spring in the desert
(Genesis 16:7)
And this angel is addressing Hagar as
Genesis 16:8
Hagar slave of Sarai where have you come from, and where are you going?"
She fled away from her mistress and where is her mistress?
She is in the tent along with Abraham
(Genesis 18:1)
Hagar also should be in the tent but she fled away into the desert
But why did she flew away?
Genesis 16:6
Sarai mistreated Hagar; so she fled from her
But why did Sarah mistreated her?
Sarah mistreated her because
Genesis 16:4
She began to despise her mistress
So Sarah mistreated her.
As she was mistreated she fled away to the desert
Genesis 16:7
The angel of the Lord found Hagar near a spring in the desert; it was the spring that is beside the road to Shur
And this spring represents Christ because HE is Living Water
(John 4:10)
John 4:14
Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
Hagar saw God and she obeyed him.
Genesis 16:9
Then the angel of the Lord told her, "Go back to your mistress and submit to her".
Hagar received a promise, blessing, gift from God
Wanna know what are those?
- PROMISE - Genesis 16:11 - You will give birth to a son. You shall name him Ishmael (The meaning of Ishmael is "God listens"
- BLESSING - Genesis 127:3 - Children are a heritage from the Lord
- GIFT - Genesis 127:3 - Offspring a reward from him
Hagar might be Egyptian but she was with the prophet who was prayerful and the one who has a relationship with God, a Godly man, our Father of Faith Abraham
(Genesis 20:7)
Genesis 16:13
She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: "You are the God who sees me," for she said, "I have now seen the one who sees me".

Why do you look for the living among the dead?
Hagar faced trouble because of her attitude for despising her mistress
Hagar is an Egyptian and this Egypt represents WORLD.
Hagar is a worldly person but still, she spent with a Godly person Abraham
When she flew away to the desert she came near a spring of living water, that is Jesus Christ
She called the name of the Lord near the spring. And God listened to her
God sent HIS angels
She gave this name to the Lord, such a privilege
John 6:37
Whoever comes to me I will never drive away
If you come to the Lord, He will forgive your sins, take you as HIS children and will bless you
May we all receive such blessing from our Lord
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
Prayer:
Lord who blessed Hagar, bless us as we all came to You, let Your abundant blessings shower upon us Jesus, In Mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray and submit this prayer, Father. AMEN!
